"Thus says the Lord: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'"

From the diary of John Wesley.
What has happened to the ministers of today who trying to please the people in the pews rather than Jesus who is on the THRONE? Why is it we seem to be dormant- it is time for us to walk in the old paths of believers who were willing to do what it took to preach the gospel in the midst of persecution and opposition. We need “FIRE” in our hearts to come forth with passion and to be ignited by HOLY SPIRIT to reach this chaotic world for Jesus.
Maxie Dunham, who was President of Asbury Theological seminary when I attended in 1996 said, “I am envious of this graduating class. Your class will be a group which sees signs, miracles, and wonders. Why do I say this? Because the world is getting darker. As the world gets darker God’s grace increases and His light gets brighter.” I believe this statement is truer now than ever. We should not walk in discouragement but should be a rising generation who are seeking the “old paths” and seeing God move in old and new ways.
Here I am LORD! Use me! I long for the “Old Paths” and pray for your Holy Spirit to move to bring renewal and revival across this land and around the world. Who will join me in this prayer?
Praying for the “Old Paths” and Revival.
Blessings,
Ric
