The GREAT WAVE is here!

"Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth." (Hosea 6:3)

When God brought the Hebrews out of Egypt He established Feasts (Holy Convocations) where they would meet with the Lord and worship at different seasons. The Feasts were based on an agricultural calendar extremely dependent on the rainy seasons God provided for a great harvest. There were primarily two major times God sent the rain to the promise land, the early rain and the latter rain.

The Early rain was around the time of our Lord's resurrection through Pentecost. Various herbs and legumes were harvested in Spring, with the most important crop being cereals: barley and wheat. A Spring ritual was particularly noted with the cereals. Newly harvested grain could not be eaten until Day of Firstfruits (Resurrection Day). (Leviticus 23:9-14). Pentecost, near the end of the grain harvest, included grain and loaf offerings. Pentecost was also called "the Feast of Harvest" (Exodus 23:16). So Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit came upon believers in the upper room, would have been the first outpouring of the Holy Spirit which occurred after the "Early rain" that brought forth the first harvest of 3,000 souls.

The second gathering of the harvest was celebrated in the Fall called the Feast of Sukot (Tabernacles) after the "latter rain". One must keep in mind the Day of Atonement, Days of Awe, and the Feast of Trumpets have already occurred before the Feast of Tabernacles. This is the time of the greatest harvest. A great time (8 days) of gathering to celebrate the harvest the Lord has provided.

Just as there was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost - there is the latter rain outpouring which we are beginning to experience which will be even greater than the day of Pentecost on the early believers.

"Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God; for He has given you the former rain faithfully, and He will cause the rain to come down for you—the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil." (Joel 2:23-24)

We are here - the precipice - the edge of the greatest move of the Holy Spirit the world has ever known. The latter rain is here - the great wave of the Holy Spirit. We will see more salvations, healings, miracles, and true manifestations of God's grace upon the earth as never before. In this last outpouring before the Lord's return, He will use the common person (the remnant). Star preachers have been exposed for the past twenty years. Jesus is wanting to use ordinary people who have experienced life and are totally sold out to Him.

Are you ready for the latter rain? Are you ready for the tidal wave? God wants to use you to bring in the final harvest.

"Don't you say, 'There are still four more months, then comes the harvest'? Listen to what I'm telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ready for harvest. - John 4:35
